Spencer Educational Coffee Chat Program

Each student will have a 1-on-1 conversation with risk professionals at little to no cost. The only costs that will need to be accounted for are travel expenses, which can be minimized based on each student’s travel preferences indicated in the Coffee Chat application form.

Benefits/Success of the Mentorship Program

Gives new and returning members a deeper connection towards GIS ensuring that they do want to come back to participate in our events/programming

Give officers the ability to develop mentorship skills regardless if they feel as if they’re ready to lead anyone yet

For Spring 2026, 6 of our 7 officers had partook in this mentorship with 2 as a mentor and 4 as a mentee in the previous semester
